Creep Suzette Size: medium 18.00 X 24.00 Media: acrylics applied to stretched canvas on wooden frame Notes: Suzette was the star of a brief theatrical movement in the late 1890's that combined Moulin Rouge style Can Can dancing with Grand Guignol style gore effects. Unfortunately, after some success in the fall of 1897, she left Paris and disappeared from sight forever. Rumor has it that she moved to New York and set up a halfway house for wayward hot corn girls, but this has never been verified. |
